Workshop: Learn to Fly Fish
Family friendly and women-specific classes
$150

Do you want to be able to rig up on your own, tie those knots, and get to fishing as soon as possible? This course is a total of 4 hours with a mix of outdoor classroom instruction and on the water learning. Snacks included!
Canopy Fly Fishing workshops teach skills. We teach knot tying, fly selection, reading the water, casting a fly rod, how to net a fish, and gender specific issues such as safety and women's fly fishing gear. We practice and teach science-based best practices for catch and release of fish using *Keep Fish Wet principles. Our goal is not to "put you on fish" but rather to teach you the skills to safely and confidently put yourself on fish. Our workshops are not guided trips - they are learning experiences. For guided fly fishing trips please see our options under 'Walk n Wade' and 'Lake Trips'.

Canopy Fly Fishing Workshops are held in a relaxed comfortable setting in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We learn best when we're not stressed. Our workshop waters are close to home; we remove the barrier of needing to drive long distances to learn basic skills. We understand the amount of practice you need while learning and fine-tuning some foundational skills.

Canopy Fly Fishing Workshops have a maximum of 8 anglers and 2 experienced female guides per session. This ensures both individual attention and the space to experiment and try out new skills.
